You are looking for the “boolean” tools. You might need to do some research, as it’s a bit heavy to explain in a comment.
Are you trying to make a hole in a non-destructive way? Use the boolean modifier.
Are you looking to just model a permanent hole? Join the 2 meshes into one object, select only one of the 2 in edit mode and then use the edit mode boolean (it has some settings you will need to adjust depending on what you want).
