How can i make it so that an edge loop ong goes where i want it to? In other word to stop it at a certain point. When I’m modeling sonething, i don’t want the edge loop to gow down the entire lenght of the model.
Break the loop with a triangle or ngon or temporarily delete a face
Or select the edges you want to split with the edge loop and W / Subdivide, then edge slide the resulting edge loop
Could also hide geometry and then loop cut. Of course all of these create n-gons and you have to route/terminate loops properly afterwards.
