How do I make 1 pixel = 1 grid block?

Hi there,
I am new to blender and I am using 2D background images as a template. I’d like to know which values I have to enter in view properties/background image (spacing/size) for making 1 pixel on the image exact the same size as a square grid. I have tried and tried and it always comes close, but never fits perfect. Is there any trick or a logic mathematical way to find out? Hope you can help me.

no, higher-resolution images are compressed more, pixel-wise, for background display, and 250 is the max size limit you can have. And you really dont want to…why would you?

I draw better than I do model so I use templates to have an orientation.
And I have found a method to make a grid block same as a pixel. My picture has width of 48 Pixels and when I load it into Blender as a background I just resize it to 24 of it’s own size and it fits perfectly. Somehow it seems that that half of the picture width is the size you need to enter as the bg image size. I have tried it with a pic with 32 width and used an image size of 16 and it worked. Don’t know why, but this seems to be the formula.
