How do I make an object move to specific coordinates

I’m making a game and I was wondering how I can move an object to some specific coordinates (it’s a shooter and I want it to move an object to a specific place to respawn). I don’t mean anything like moving towards something (like a steering actuator), something more along the lines of teleporting an object to some coordinates. The motion actuator just moves things with an offset as far as I can tell which won’t work because the player can be anywhere on the battlefield. How can I accomplish this? Also, how can I set the viewport to a camera’s view?

The answer to your camera question is RTFM (Read the Friendly Manual… at least, I think that’s what the F stands for, since we’re all so friendly around here).

Find the entire Friendly Blender Manual (with a whole section about the Game Engine!) here:

The Python API (which would answer your question about teleporting objects) is here:

The Game Engine Modules and the Standalone Modules are useful in Blender Games. Don’t use bpy. It doesn’t work in the blenderplayer.

Just play an location action (1 frame)
