Heres the thing,… I’m making a game with the torque engine and I’m working on some models and animations right now. I am going to animate one armor set and theres going to be about 40 or more different animations for that set of armor. But my question is when I make more armor sets, how am I going to link them to those already made animations to have when the player changes armor in the game? I mean how do I go about properly linking each set of armor with each of those animation sequences? Is there a way to mark each armor mesh so the front back and sides of every part of armor will all be facing the way they should face when an animation is going?
Example: I animate just a set of armor walking. I animate it 40 times. If I make a different armor set I can obviousely parent the armor to the animated skeletons. But blender isn’t going to know how to position every piece of that armor in its correct location.
Like if an animation didn’t start from the walking cycle, instead it started form ground level, how is blender going to know how to properly position the new armor to that animated skeleton? Is there any way to mark the parts of the armor and the parts of the skeleton so that they will match and blender will know where to position each individual piece of armor?
Sorry if this question was too complicated. Kinda hard to explain too. But thanks for any help ya’ll can give me. I appreciate it.
