How do I move the light target in Blender?

Hello all
I am new to blender. I used to work on 3d studio max. Here is my question:

1.How do I move a target of a light in blender. I found rotating the light and target to the object . But I am not comfortable on that option. If besides rotating the light if there is any other option there in blender please help on that.

2. How to change a perspective view to camera view? ( i know this is not the place to ask a question)

Thanks a lot and thanks in advance
regards

There is no target for lights. You can create one by adding a trackTo constraint to the light, with an Empty (Null/Dummy) or any other object as the target.

You change a perpsective or any other view to a camera view from the View Menu (or NUMPAD 0). If you rotate the view while in camera view, it will revert to a perspective view, unlike in Max where you can rotate the view interactively. To do the same thing in Blender you have to select the camera, then while viewing through it use transform/rotate keys/menu to transform the camera. While looking through the camera, you can select it by clicking on the solid border lines in the viewport. You can zoom the camera viewport size with NUMPAD+ and NUMPAD-. With the camera selected, press F9 and in the buttons panel you can enable the PassePartout, then slide it’s alpha up to ~.6 or so to isolate the camera view, while still being able to select the camera edges.

Cameras also don’t have targets, you’ll have to create one as with the lights using a trackto constraint (-Z and up Y).

In camera view, with the camera selected you can also press shift+F to enter fly mode, this will also move the camera around.

Here is information on using the Track To contraint.
