You can’t.
Edit: You can select which to display in Blender Preferences Save & Load → File Browser… that’s all AFAIK

You can try either Save Startup file or save your Preferences.
To save your startup file, follow this:
To save your preferences go to Edit → Preferences, check the left bottom hamburger menu and click Save Preferences in there:

@goorman I’ve tried that. It works on the File Browser editor within Blender, but not the File > Open...
window. That’s what I had a problem with.
Yeah, I’ve often wished I could orgainse these so recents was at the top then favourites. Very frustrating and time consuming. You can’t even save them in a minimised state so there’s less scrolling.
