hi everybody,
I animated a model but the animation is happening way too slowly is there a way that I can speed it up?
- you can scale the key frames down to whatever you need
- you can set the frame rate up(this might work)
The simple way is to cut (unnecessary) frames out of your animation. Instead of doing 24 or 25 fps, try 18 to 20 fps (frames per second).
how do i scale all the key frames all at once for all the armatures? (i don’t think the frame rate will help since i need to export my model for use in another application)
Blender does not obey FPS. It does not affect animation (Like Cinema4D).
go to the graph window and set the frame number to one then select all key frames and press “s” to whatever you want
Open up the Action editor, and you should see a bunch of diamonds representing your keyframes. Select all of your armatures, then in the Action Editor select all of the keyframes so they’re all yellow. then with your time slider set to 1, scale down your keyframes in the Action Editor, and that will make it faster.
I honestly don’t recall if Blender’s video editor can do this, but if you have a bunch of painstakingly-rendered material and you don’t want to have to do it again, maybe you can speed it up by “printing on twos,” or whatever it might be called. Basically, this consists of dropping selected frames from the clip. You will experience a loss of smoothness when you do this, but there are times when that really just don’t matter much. (“If you are salvaging something, you know you might have to put up with a little seaweed.”)
thanks everybody it worked i used the action editor method
