how do i use HDR rendering/Bloom or Depth of Field in blender?

i’ve been looking for tutorial for weeks and i can’t find anything on using HDR rendering or Bloom.

also i’m looking for a tutorial on Depth of field.

HDR
Blender supports OpenEXR if thats what you mean. If you’re looking for HDRI rendering look here. You can use a HDR image as a sky texture and render with it using ambient occlusion.

Specular Bloom

Enable the specular pass in your render settings. Blur the specular pass using the compositor and comp it on top of you image.

Depth of Field
DoF is a compositor node, look here

HDRI tut

try the “quick tutorial” to get you going with HDRI

I have not used the bloom or DOF features yet.

Thanks,

one more thing how do i save the output image in the Composite nodes?

Just make sure “Do Composite” is checked on the Anim panel; render and save as usual. Make sure your node setup includes a true Output and not just a viewer.
