I work for an engineering firm who has extensive Inventor drawings that I would like to animate beyond the capabilities of the Inventor animation options. Can I open the original Inventor file in Blender? I’ve been told the dxf file that Blender can import does not contain 3d information and from what I can tell I cannot import .ipt or .iam files. As you can probably tell I’m VERY green in this area and Maya and 3ds max are just out of my price range.
