How do i make the sky dome (that i put a sky texture on) have invisible outside faces and visible inside faces (it make working inside on buildings easier) like in the screenshots.
The normal way to do this is have the normals point inside and turn on backface culling. Blender however does not currently support back face culling in the 3d window. You either have to hide some verts if its all one object or move the the skydome to an invisible layer if its a different object. This is an often asked for feature. If you want the same effect in a render it is possible using materials.
Np offense, but why haven’t they added this in? I mean, so many people would find it easier to make games with it… That’s one of the reasons Halo Editing Kit only supports 3Dsmax and gmax, because they are very game designer friendly…
Funnily enough, I have just posted a video tutorial on using yafray and appendind textures and ANGULAR MAPS, which is the part that may interest you. I have also posted a link to a zipped file of angular maps I have made. These give you a complete ‘sky sphere’. Maybe this would help you? http://learnblender3d.com/2007/08/30/yafray-angular-maps-and-appending-textures/
