How do I save a render as an avi. I tried looking up tutorials, but I can’t find anything to answer my problem.

okay, maybe I wasn’t specific enough. I need to save what I did in the sequence editor as an .avi

In F10 buttons, Format tab select AVI. In the Output tab set the Directory to save to. Once it’s rendered out open the SE and Add >> Movie, navigate to the save-to directory and MMB on the AVI.

Do the first steps that Fligh told you to do: set the format and output, and then hit “do sequence” under the “anim” button, and then hit “anim”.

No, no, no… you only do that if you have a strip in the Sequence Editor.
