how do you add an ambient occlusion texture in cycles?

I have an ambient occlusion texture and was wondering how i can add it to a material with other shaders, eg. diffuse etc.
in Blender Render there is a multiply option at the bottom of the page allowing for ambient occlusion to be added.
in cycles there is only add and mix.
how would i go about adding the ambient occlusion texture to the material?
