How do you cell fracture an object into rigid body and have it CRUMBLE, not EXPLODE?

Title. Every time i fracture even just a basic cube and then apply rigid body physics to it, it always explodes when baking rigid body, or has other problems, like a piece will randomly start spinning or bounce away from a gentle collision like an explosion just happened. What is the process for fracturing something and have the pieces only CRUMBLE?

ALSO - What settings make it break with random cracks? When i use it on a cube, it just breaks that up into smaller cubic shapes, not with randomized cracks. See image and result here:

Huh. Maybe check/mess with some settings in your rigid body physics. Make sure to use mesh type collision bounds. Maybe tweak the mass. Here’s a tutorial where they get a crumble result.
