When I add a Horizon to my scene and rotate the icon around, all of my tool-bars collapse.
I know that if I delete it, all goes back to normal.
But I want to be able to rotate the Horizon(lamp) icon around without having all of the tool-bars collapsing (see the right side).

What command sequence are you using to rotate the lamp? Also, doesn’t rotating the lamp do more or less nothing? Or are you actually moving the lamp rather than rotating it?

I’m just pressing R. Sometimes I use “G” to move the lamp around.

Try using ‘g’ only, make sure your caps lock is off and don’t lean on the keyboard.
That’s it. I’m out of advice.
