LOOK AT THE RIGHT SIDE, WHERE ALL THE WINDOWS ARE OPEN. That is the problem
At each window there is a dashed line at the bottom left and the top right. Drag it to the nearest window, an arrow will appear and you can merge botch windows, otherwise the window will split.
Additionaly you can right-click on the window-border (when the double-arrow mouse pointer appears) and a menu called “Area options” will show up, then click “join”.
Its really hard to do. I’m not getting anywhere fast
