i have 6 gb of ram, but i made it run off my hard drive with 20-25 gb, and it still runs the same. :no:

If what you are doing with blender never exceeds the amount of ram you have currently, then probably not. What are you doing with blender that would needs lots of ram ?

it does exceed, because when i do smoke or water particles it slows down with the frame, it goes down to about 4 to 12 fps

If you have a crap processor it will also slow down when handling large fluid/smoke/particle systems however much ram you have.

What is your current system specs, what version of blender etc etc

processor is AMD A6-3600 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics 2.10 GHz, 64 bit and i have blender 2.63
