Ok. I am modeling my first project, so please excuse the noob-ness of this.
I created one plane. Then I tabbed out of edit mode (stupid) and created a new plane and started molding that. Now I need the two planes joined - but because I dropped out of editing mode they are seperate objects.
You can join two or more meshes (or other joinable objects, such as bezier curves) by selecting them all and pressing Ctrl-J when you are not in edit mode. To make multiple selections, just hold the Shift key when clicking.
