how do you move the nodes backdrop around?*

is their a set of XY slider s?*

the backdrop is moveable by pressing shift+mmb

that just moves the view around but not the rendered image like panning the buttons view,*
I tried with emulate numpad on and off with a three button mouse and just the alt shift keys

I had been wondering how to do that as well… I tried it with shift+mmb, and it works here, youngbatcat.

sorry i couldn´t help.
just tested, but for me it works, unless you want something different I didn´t understand.

I’m having the same problem on my iBook G4. From watching video tutorials
where they move the backdrop I notices the courser changes into a little 4 arrow
pointer. I got it to show up by holding ‘option’ + ‘click mouse button’ but all it
does it move the nodes while backdrop stays in one place. There’ got to be a way.

Has anyone figured this out yet?

shift, then CLICK the middle mouse wheel, and move the mouse while holding both the shift and the button down.

oh, apples. i dunno bout dem apples. i remember i bought a three button mouse when i started to use blender, cuz the alt-lmb thing was drive me banannzaas.

I personally just split my buttons window and set the split to the UV/Image Editor set to display the viewer node.

I got a logitech 3 button mouse for my ancient G4, and it works like a charm
