Hey, so i use to use custom bone shapes and shape key drivers to place the face rig directly on the face. However i believe since i use to do this, the way blender has you set up shape key drivers has changed a bit? It wants me to use more of the graph editor rather than just type in like “oh full shape key value is when the object is moved 2 blender units on it’snormal X axis” or whatever. so it’s harder to set up.

Anyone got a more up to date tutorial on setting up shape key drivers?

I found a FANTASTIC add on for blender just called Shape key driver sliders. It was a bit hard to instal but you litterally just click on the shape key and do a Shift A add slider and it makes a slider for you for that shape key and you can parent it to whatever you want as needed.
So this made me think of how professionals have little GUI squares next to their character and drag sliders around for face animation.
Does anyone got like a good example of how the sliders on those GUI’s are placed for quick and easy use in animation?
I might just use this add on to switch to that method rather than the hands on face rig if i can’t relearn how to do that.
At first i thought about having multiple boxes for eyes, mouth, jaw, etc… but i thought i’d ask how everyone else does it first.
thanks
