I want to be able to rotate the axis of my object without changing the original structure or orientation of it. Is there a way to do this besides using alt+r and then rotating the mesh?
control + a will reset the object’s axis to the world ones
it applies the deformation of the object (scaling, rotation) to the mesh and removes rotation and scaling from the object
also, you could create a mesh object with the location/rotation/size you want, and join your mesh into that object. Which should do as you may seek.
though your question doesn’t entirely make sense; clarify it if I misintrepreted.
No, you interpreted it fine! THANK YOU!
