How do you use the new walkcycle modifier?

I rigged a human figure and animated him as if he’s walking on a conveyer belt. I’ve planned on the hip bone being the offset bone. Now I want to make him walk forward but I don’t know how to do this. Does anyone know?

First step is to not think of what you are animating as a “walk cycle”

Animate a “walk” instead, when you walk you move - so MOVE your character to stay over it’s feet.

This walk can be of as many steps as you’d like, the new system will DO THE CYCLING FOR YOU!
