I rigged a human figure and animated him as if he’s walking on a conveyer belt. I’ve planned on the hip bone being the offset bone. Now I want to make him walk forward but I don’t know how to do this. Does anyone know?
look in the blender e-shop under essential blender there is a free chapter to dl thats explaning how to do just that.
here is the link also read the rest of ryans tut.
First step is to not think of what you are animating as a “walk cycle”
Animate a “walk” instead, when you walk you move - so MOVE your character to stay over it’s feet.
This walk can be of as many steps as you’d like, the new system will DO THE CYCLING FOR YOU!
