How does one achieve dangly objects such as chains, twigs, hair and import them into game engines?

Hey guys I’ve been stuck for a while and have been really determined to cross this off of my learning board. I’m looking to achieve something like this where the branches on top of the creature follow through with its motion. I have done some research and have come across others say you can use bones to track a cloth simulation that you can bake into animation key-frames. While I understand that a bit, the process of correctly doing it is eluding me. Can anyone guide in the right direction? Help would be greatly appreciated!
