Introduction:
So… I’m pretty new to 3D, I’ve tried Blender up to the donut stage stopped by 2021 and i started to use it again for about 4-5 months now, partially because I’m a Architecture student and needed a 3D software to learn for my university Projects, so i chose Blender since i already had very basic knowledge of the software, now I’ve started to really like it! the software, the process, the results, the community and basically everything!, i already am the kind of guy who is constantly drawing and doodling when bored or in class, so having access to 3D art is really nice, especially if i can earn a bit of money from it but as you all know, Ai and the Shrinking market and perhaps oversaturation has made me very nervous i am worried that i basically have one chance at going down a path that leads to a successful comfortable life and im worried this is the wrong one so…
Main concerns:
Should i, as a beginner actually go down the path of 3D with the somewhat bleak future of it in mind?
is the ai concerns too dramatic and may not actually be ‘‘the machine that replaces all artists’’ that people tend to say?
if you think there’s still a decent future for this field, what would you recommend to ensure long term survival and prevention of ai replacement?
what 3D art adjacent skills, software and work are there that may be safer and better for me in the future? example could be game dev or something.
slightly unrelated but how would i, as a somewhat beginner lvl artist, find work?
what would you do if you were in my shoes?
Thanks!
