Hello Everyone,
I’m currently using a system AMD 3700X with MSI Gaming X Trio RTX 2070 Super in an air cooling case.
Due to video works with Blender and textures /HDRs in high poly scenes, existing graphic card’s memory and rendering speed comes to be not sufficient at handling rendering works. So that I’m looking for a 24G card with better amount of CUDA & RTX cores.
However, I heard that “GPU and VRAM temperature” might become an issue in 3090 models.
Some people says MSI gets hotter than ASUS, not sure if this causes any issue when temperature reaches up to critical levels … Almost each review/comparisons in social media gives different results. While someone praises up ASUS, the other mention MSI’s great cooling solution in new 3090 Suprim X…
That’s why seeing ASUS RTX 3090 ROG STRIX and MSI RTX 3090 SUPRIM X as two top options . Considering the price difference (ASUS is USD 300 more expensive) but both are the top brands- same specs and I’m pretty fine with current MSI Gaming X Trio’s temperature values when under load for rendering ; that’s why I am thinking to go with MSI Suprim X, but just have some doubts about temperatures when rendering in Blender.
As said, I’ve seen lots of reviews but mostly tested when playing games in 4K - Ultra settings; not sure how this card’s performance and particularly temperature values goes up when using in Blender.
Anyone has been using MSI RTX 3090 SUPRIM X for rendering Blender?
I’ll appreciate to get suggestions / experiences in Blender rendering performance/ rough temperature values with this card.
Thanks.
