How i can add a selection group?

I’m asking to learn how i can add a selection group for my selection so when i want to re-select the same faces of my object again, to make the selection easier.

So, how i can do that?

Add to a vertex group
Add a material to those faces and in edit mode in the material settings use the option to select faces with that material
