How in the world do I make bones immovable

tl;dr, I want the rest of the body to move, but not the balls of his feet. How can I do that?

One tiny problem: I can’t extrude/add bones, so there’s that

(Disclaimer: I just started to learn how to animate in Blender like a few days ago)
(yes, I also have no idea what I was asking, but now I do)

In pose mode, you can lock the transform values of the bone you have selected.

That should work, yes, but the bone I’m trying to lock in place is the shoe: I don’t want it to move around while its parent, the leg, moves (aka locking it doesn’t help)

Ah, I see. Than perhaps Inverse Kinematics (IK) is what your looking for? It’s a modifier you apply to a selected bone to point towards, or remain in a specified destination. Usually by using another bone as the Ik target. Their’s plenty of tutorials online about it. If that’s what your looking for?

That could be it
I’ve tried targeting the foot with a static bone, but it still moves around
Limit Distance almost worked, but it could still move in a circle
