Hey, I was wondering(no, I’m not a quiter, just wondering when I will be able to say: this is something I think is cool) how long it takes to master blender’s interface and how long it takes to make something okay looking… in general, some do it faster than others, so…
It took me two weeks learning from the video-tutorials, and some others to get the basics in my fingers, then two weeks to create the basics of my first character… Now I’m starting to learn the setup for animation of this character, but that will take way much longer I’m afraid…
Shouldn’t this be in ‘Basics and interface?’
Learning the interface took a wee while for me. (Coming from 3dsMax). However, once you understand it, you soon come to realise how tremendously dynamic and powerful the Blender interface actually is.
Using the interface doesn’t necessarily translate into producing outstanding digital artwork though.
That takes far more time and skill.
I don’t know where the message belongs, i know it’s here. Anyway, I just started the blenderwiki face tutorial… and ended up with a pretty cool looking grome-like guy, completely unlike the tutorial face… I’m happy about it, kickass… yeah, modeling is cool
