I do not know how advertising works in your country, but in the US it is quite common for over-the-top commercials to air during breaks, with some of the worst offenders being the ones for pharmaceuticals.
How bad? Consider the fact that the ‘patient’ is having the best days of his/her life in spite of the dozens of serious side effects that can occur, including death.
