how must the camera distances for a 3D film be

Hello, (excuse me, if my english is not so good - I’m from german)
I want to make a real 3D film in Blender.
I have now the animation and one camera position. To make a good 3D film (you know) I need two films, which are recorded from two positions.

Now to my question: How must the camera positions be

Thanks for all replys

That depends on the shot, camera lens, and other shots in the scene.

I think it’s a matter of trial and error. For each shot/scene, render a frame with an object where you want the ‘screen’ to be. And then you’ll want to keep the average action at that setting. It would be bad if you have one shot that looks like it’s far back, then for the next shot, you’re suddenly in the room.
