How to achieve this effect in blender?

Hi all

I have a prob achieving this lighting effect in blender(see red arrow.) attached image is done using brushes in GIMP…lol. =D
Does anyone know? the light is actually like a lightbulb, effect quite similar to EVE’s eye in the movie Wall-E.



Make a single line segment ( two vertexes ) and give it a white material set to ‘halo’ and fidget with the ‘add’, and hardness, and halo size.
