How to add 4 lines

How to add four lines to a gymnastic horizontal bar .
Modeling
rekstang.blend (1.1 MB)

With thin cylinders (rotated and mirrored)?!

Just like i have drawn in the attachement

That was the answer. Just use cylinders for them and rotate them like you have drawn them.

Nobody who can help??

How much more help do you need?
Just create a cylinder, scale it, rotate it and move it. Then duplicate for the other lines.

rekstang_modified.blend (1.2 MB)

I added in the meantime the lines myself anyhow thanks.

Is this a language barrier? This is a very simple question and you got told multiple times how you can do it. So take the time to read it and in case of need use a translator or ask what you didnt understand. Also, the solution marker is to help others searching for a similar problem, so please mark the posts that help others the most and not just your own goodbyes.

Sorry it is not so simple as it looks.
You have to place the 3d cursor exactly on the corner and then add a circle.
Then you have to apply the transforms for the cylinders and the duplicate and scale on the X-axis -1.
Sorry but that is how I managed it.
When you have a better explanation then I would like to hear it.

Yeah thats no good way to solve it, you make it far more complicated than this really is. Are you new to this?

There are plenty of different ways to manipulate the position and rotation of objects in Blender…
You figured one of them, but it’s not the only one.

Also, your question was ā€œhow to add 4 linesā€, not every exact step of adding a ā€˜line’ and placing it where it should be… Since you’re are not a new user, and you’ve been around for some years now, we believe that you don’t need every step described to the exaustion.

Yeah but blender is changing from time to time and i do not often model anymore. In my days we used shortkeys and no mouse clicks that was not possible in blender 2.7
But I am still willing to learn it is not my day business but it is still pure hobby.

Must be a language thing and a newbie thing.

I would, from the first image, add a cylinder, make it thin and long.
Select it. press 3, on the numpad.
rotate so it looks right. press 7
move it into a better position. Rotate if needed.
if you need to make it shorter, press s, then z twice. Scale as needed.

Do one side. Add a mirror modifier to complete.

That is totally wrong it has to be on the position drawn .
Please do not react anymore it is finished.

It really is.

Yeah but blender is changing from time to time

This really isn’t a ā€œblender changes too muchā€ problem, this sort of thing is very basic. Maybe take some time and get comfortable with the tools, and/or learn more about how to use them.

Blender 2.7 vs Blender 4.2 is totally different.

good thing, too

…and the reason that most of the planet isn’t using 2.7…

Yeah, a lot can change over a 10 year timespan.

Well actually i meant version 2.79b .from 2019.
Have you tried that.

but you can still use the shortcuts from 2.79b in 4.x… I still use them, and they do the same (or almost).
Apart to some new modules, tools and UI, Blender is still Blender.
