hi bartv, im noob in blender and could you please help me with how to add single vert in 3.0?

There are a couple of ways…if you enable the included addon “add extra objects” it has a single vertex in the Add menu ( when picked you will go into edit mode automatically…).
Another way you will see in many tutorials is to add a plane, enter edit mode Vertex select, all, and Right Click, scroll down in the list and find Merge Vertices, select center…shortcut for this is the key M
