How to add national border lines on earth in blender?

I’m currently working on a project that requires the addition of national border lines on a map of Earth created in Blender. I’ve been following the Blender Guru’s Earth tutorial (https://youtu.be/0YZzHn0iz8U?si=kL1VNONPOFxJ1pHr), which has been immensely helpful so far.

However, I’ve reached a point in my project where I need to accurately depict national borders, and I’m not quite sure how to go about it in Blender. I am using NASA’s Earth texture provided by Blender Guru for this project.

If you have any guidance or resources that could help me with this specific aspect of map creation, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

At the 1 minute mark, he applies a basic color map for the land/water.

So, acquire a similar map, that has the country borders drawn, and use that as part of a composite image. One example:

I’ve done this before with 2 separate maps; 1 with the terrain and one with just the country lines. You can use both in the same material by using this setup:
