How to add sparkles?

Hello, everyone! I’m a beginner and I searched some info but didn’t find an answer on how did the Tutorial File (see below) added the shiny sparkle effect to the soap bubbles! See, I’m replicating the file on my own to try and learn everything I can, and I already managed to replicate the bubbles, but not the sparkles.

The fact it’s on the can’s bright point too makes me think they’re just using realtime compositing with a glare node set to “streaks” for that classic plus sign look.

(I haven’t been keeping up with that to know if there’s a specific blender build where the live viewport updates are most stable or even out of the experimental features.)

If you’re looking for iridescence, check out this thread:

If you’re not using Cycles, try this add on:

Although more recently (as of v4.2) Blender has its own thin-film iridescence, here for some examples.

Oh, shoot! You said you were a beginner – even with a good vid rec I try to pop in a “the Compositor is a different editor from the Shader Editor / Geometry Nodes Editor, has its own Workspace over here” bit because it’s easy to miss that if you haven’t worked with it much. :confounded:
