I modeled a rose in blender, and animated it growing from some soil. I also want to animate it wilting/dying, but can’t find a way to do that; I’ve checked dozen of sites, but find nothing to help me. I’m using cycles (if that means anything). If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it.
It’s going to be a choreographed combination of animated attributes. You’ll need to rig the flower to bend. You’ll need to create a shape key (or a few) to show the stem dehydrating. You’ll need to animate material properties from vibrant to dull and dying. And if you want parts to start falling off, then that’s a slightly more complex rig.
But really, doing something like what you want is just a matter of taking the big problem and breaking it down into smaller ones that are easier to solve.
