how to animate a random shaking mesh?

Hi,

I am looking for an easy way to automaticaly shake or jiggle a mesh (rotation or location). Is this possible in blender 2.5x? If, yes can somybody tell me how?

I am looking for an effeck similar to the wiggle-expression in After Effects or the virbration-tag in cinema 4d!

Thx
zak.

Just add a noise modifier to a position track in the graph editor. Then follow that up with an envelope modifier to dampen the effect.

You could also do it with a driver and python code. Very similar to an expression in AE.

Hi thanks for this fast reply! But where can I find modifiers for my animation tracks?

by pressing ā€œnā€ thanks a lot

But they only show up if you already have a keyframe.

So press the I-Key and insert a location keyframe, then the channel will appear in the graph editor. After you have a channel, select it, then add a modifier.
