I am trying to create a rollercoaster in blender and I need 8 different cars on the track at once as a train. I have been using the follow path constraint to do this. When animating the first car, everything goes smoothly. But since there are multiple objects I need to do this for all 8. That’s not a problem with me. It would just take longer, the problem starts when I animate the second car while trying to keep an offset of point 6. When the cars actually get to the key frames, everything is okay, but in between the keyframes the car ends up running into the other car And even passing it at points.I would like to know how to fix this to keep a constant offset of .6.
Thank you in advance.
Do you work with a graph editor open ? what do your curves look like ?
I actually have figured it out. Someone on the blender stack exchange helped me figure out that i was supposed to animate by using the curves evaluation amount under the properties menu and path animation settings, instead of using the follow path. Everything is working now. Thanks anyway!
