How to apply f-curves cycles modifier? Or other way to generate keyframes out of it?

I’m rather new to blender. I’ve created camera motion, rotating around an object for an hour with some ‘randomness’ by using the cycles modifier on f-curves for some rotation and position parameters. Now I’d like to bake this hour of created animation and tweak the keyframes on the baked f-curves. So what I want would be ‘apply modifier’ and would expect that to create keyframes throuhout the full timeline. But it doesn’t seem to exist…

How can I convert the cycles output to editable keyframes?

By googling I found this guy asking somewhat the same question as I have, but that was more then a year ago. So I’m hoping by now there is some way to accomplish what I’m looking for. Really can’t imagine if I would be the only world wanting to have this feature, so there must be some way to do it… or is it wishfull thinking?

This was the other thread: http://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/6439/how-to-apply-make-real-a-curve-generated-by-modifier-in-graph-editor

Hopefully somebody can help me with this.

Select your object and use Object / Animation / Bake Action menu
Set the start and end frame range and frame step value

Wow, that was quick! Nice! I’m glad it’s there!! Saves me a lot of time! Thanks!!
And I see the created keyframes can be simplified with the simplify addon. So this one is solved!
