How to be a model maker?

I’m new to this so I don’t know how to get to the model making part.

Welcome :tada:

…well… there are multiple possibilities which do overlap… for excample:

  • low poly
  • hard surface
  • props
  • characters
  • environment

There is also a wide variation about the purpose:

  • stills
  • animation
  • in-game
  • “simple” video or shortmovie
  • cinematics

So… :
You may have to elaborate this to get a more suited answer.

This is like walking into a lumber yard, and telling someone I want to get into furniture making but I don’t know how to start the wood stuff.

It’s completely understandable that someone new to 3D doesn’t know how to do modeling, but it’s not so easily understood why it sounds like you’ve made little effort to use a search engine or YouTube to take a basic step forward.

I think it’s good to know because Topology applies to everything. :slightly_smiling_face:
This applies equally to all software.

Look at the video of the link
