How to blow up (explode) a camera mapped scene?

Hello Community.

Yesterday I saw a great tutorial on how to use the “explode” modifier in Blender.

Then I thought, hey I remember a camera mapping tutorial by Andrew Price:

How cool would it be to cameramap a scene (e.g. a tower) and then use the explode modifier to blow this scene up.

So I cameramapped the scene (via the sticky method) added the explode modifier and… it doesn’t render the building any longer as soon as the explode modifier is added :frowning:

Any ideas? should I use a different camera mapping technique and if so, do you have any suggestions for a good tutorial?
