This usually isn’t a problem, but occasionally I’ll select a vertice and the pivot point for that vertice will be off center. This will sometimes make it difficult to snap it to another vertice. Is there a way to fix this strange kind of occurrence, because I’m not really sure how.
I figured out the problem. When the smooth modifier is on, it changes the perception of where the pivot point for the vertice is. The solution would be to just apply the smooth modifier or work with it without the smooth modifier applied or something like that.
if you have your modifier visible in edit mode, select your vertex, press shift+s then click cursor to selection and set the pivot location to be cursor this should work.
