How to change colours from a grass particle?

Hello, so i would like to create a soccer field. I have a basic particle plane with grass as object render. How can i change colors from my particle so that i can create the white bands from a soccer field ?

Thank you guys !

This is one way to do it. Use an Empty to define the Object Coordinates. You may have to scale the empty up quite a bit. Make sure you Apply the Scale of the field. The texture/material goes on the grass object. This was made in 2.93.0, should work. Move the Empty around to see the placement.

ok i see. I’ll mess with that a bit.

Thank you sir !

That works, but you’d still have to screen the texture over the color.

Instead of an image texture, use a wave texture- this will give you those bands procedurally

Yes that is the case. Thanks for pointing that out.

Your welcome.

You can just use separate geometries with particle modifiers for those areas.
