When you add an object look at the bottom of the toolshelf (T) for the parameters you can adjust when you add it initially, Blender does not use parametric objects.
For other parameters such as rotation, scale, dimensions look in the properties panel (N)
Thanks found Scale,Rotation and even Dimensions on the Properties Panel with the N key like you mention.
Sadly under Tool Bar all i found is settings such as the following Smooth,Tranform,Duplicate,Delete,Clone etc but no Sigments setting?.
On the bonus found Transform settings when selecting verts etc, this is very handy for me in future
I did notice that stight away when opening Edit Mode, anyhow deleted and create a new cube and still unable to find the Sigments
Try’ed creating other shapes like Cylinder and these shapes have Sigments but very poor at that, why has a cube got no Sigments ?.
Should be able to create Height,Width and Length Sigments its very basic.
Does any one know how to change the Sigments ?, it should be something very simple to do after all its just basic’s.
I created a image for a example.
In the Image it has the following Sigments. 2 Height Sigments
3 Width Sigments
4 Length Sigments
Also would like to point out that yes you can do this manual but would it not be a lot faster to a work flow if these was in the settings for the object.
