How to clean up inside topology?

I’m really sorry if this is a nooby question, and if it has been asked already, but I have 2 models “intercepting eachother” that both form the outside. I have cleaned up some unnecessary faces and I want to merge them together to form a nice topology on the outside like on the second picture.



Here you see the messy topolgy circled in red, I want it nice and smooth so it can form the ouside of the eye.

you will have to stitch the vertices together such that you get one continuous mesh. Select two vertices and press M, and then choose the merge option you want (last, first, or center).
