Hi,
When I imported an FBX mesh, it somehow populated the layers.
I want to clear or empty the layer. Only clear the layer or remove the assignments and not necessarily delete the objects inside the layer.
All the tutorials I see (like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5PSeqc5f2I ) only teaches adding them but not removing.
You can see an illustration of the problem below
Is there a way around this?
Select the object(s) and move them to only one layer (M). This will clear the selected object(s) from any other layer.

That’s for the response. Works as expected.
Quick question, is there a way to reverse select it? For instance, select all objects in Layer 2.
Dragging a selection in viewport only works if the objects are within vicinity together. So it doesn’t really work well if the objects are far apart.
Select an object on layer 2, SHIFT+G (Select Similar) > Layer. This selects everything on the same layer.
