how to control a complex animation by one ipo?

ok, now I start to get used to the nla window. And I have one question:

can I join an animation, so that I can control it with one ipo? Like the closing of a hand to get a fist?

Couldn’t you just copy the curve to each bone, or am I just making a fool of myself?

no you don’t. But I dont want every bone to perform the same rotation. Imagine a complex animation with several bones.
