How to create a fountain by physics fluid in Blender 2.64 ?
I need find a way to let the water jet up and then drop down dispersed – like fountain in the park.
Easy… Take a cube, SPACEBAR >> quick fluid [RETURN]. Resize the cube to look like a vertical bar, resize the fluid domain to give some space around and above. Apply the sizes! In the physics panel set the cube to inflow. Increase the inflow velocity Z. Bake!
Tune the parameters of the fluid domain so that it doesn’t look like a blob any more.
After that, you can build the fountain itself around the inflow cube. Don’t let the fountain intersect with the cube and don’t forget to set it to fluid obstacle in the physics panel.
Thanks Kaluura !
I add a plane obstacle at the top of fountain, and then the fountain spray like a flower, as same as real life scene.
Blender works very good!

A problem i had when i did the same project was adding the bowls , you have to cut out a whole in the bowl so the water can still shoot out. A really good project for this would be to simulate a hotel with shooting water and different color lights hitting water, like in vegas.
