So I have this edge outline from a model that a client send me… Its just edges. I need to fix some holes in it… but basically…its just 1 edge that shaped like a rectangle with some bends in it.
I need to keep the exact shape of this ’ frame’ and fill it up with faces so I can turn in into a smooth shiny surface.
What would be the best way to do this?
For this method to work you need to have an even amount of vertices. If it’s odd, add or remove one. Then select all vertices, Ctrl+F -> Grid Fill. A settings panel pops up in the lower left where you can tweak the shape and the number of connections.
If you want to have complete control over it and there is not many edges, you can manually bridge them to have the geometry you want and good topology, also grid fill could work here.
