I want this model to crumple straight gown. cloth simulation sends it flying in random directions
I guess you need legs in there to crumble correctly.
It is hard to say why it is flying around without blendfile, i just can guess there are some forces/velocity applies that must be set to zero.
Try this tutorials,
from my test i guess the cloth has just too less resolution, double it, and try again. Double again if its to stiffy.
About the initial wobbling, it should drop with higher resolution, but i takes alot of cpu power. I have to kill some times my blender cause i cannot stop the simulation running.
Is the mesh subdivided evenly in horizontal and vertical direction? It’s important, as the sim doesn’t adapt to stretched faces (it assumes they are even).
